Built because we couldn’t find a VPN we trusted

Most VPNs serve the same masters. Data companies. Holding corporations. Investors who profit from the very surveillance they claim to protect you from. When a provider gets acquired, the promise on its marketing page is only as durable as the new owner’s business model.

PlanckVPN exists because the tools meant to protect an open internet had quietly been bought by the people that freedom needed protecting from. Censorship and surveillance are not abstractions to us — getting past them, safely and without being watched, is the entire reason this company was built.

So we built a VPN with no parent corporation, no outside investors, and nothing to sell but the product itself. One paid subscription funds the whole thing. There is no second revenue line, because a second revenue line is exactly where the incentives go wrong.

Freedom cannot be taken for granted. Everything about the modern internet can start to feel like 1984. People need to get online without censorship, surveillance, and bad actors deciding what they are allowed to see.
